ARTIST BIO
Arlington Texas native Kendra Remedios brings Lone Star grit and southern charm to country music. She draws from a wide variety of musical influences to create her own brand of country music, infused with a healthy dose of southern rock and blues. Even as teenager her style came through in her powerful Hollywood performances during Seasons 11 and 12 of American Idol where she drew comparisons from the judges to artists like Amy Winehouse and Adele.
Early in her life, Kendra began to hone her skills as a singer on stage in Dallas Fort Worth. Performing inspired her to begin writing as well. She writes songs with authentic narratives that reflect realities of life ranging from the highs to the lows. "Daddy and Me,” one of the first songs she released in June of 2021, is a beautiful acoustic tribute to her proud father following his passing from a brain aneurysm earlier that year.
In November 2022, Kendra moved to Nashville to pursue her passion for writing and singing. And since her arrival, she has thrived delivering energetic and engaging performances. Her songwriting has also continued to blossom and has expanded to include writing with and for other artists. She is a frequent performer on the songwriting circuit in Nashville.
To pursue her passion for music to the fullest, Kendra also works as a dental hygienist (the "day job"). Embracing the demands of the dental chair in addition to the demands of a performer and songwriter only serves to exemplify her determination, perseverance, and enthusiasm for what she loves.
Since arriving in Nashville, she has released "Bad Goodbye (1/24), Texas to Tennessee (4/24) and Hot Mess (7/24), and is about to release Darlin (out 2/25). These songs reflect her ability as a songwriter to artfully craft compelling stories, and her gift as a singer to tell them. With each new release, she sees the fruits of her efforts with monthly listeners climbing along with demand for her performances. Country music enthusiasts get ready – Kendra is "fired-up" so stay tuned for upcoming releases and shows as she continues her journey.
